On June 2nd, between 4 pm & 7 pm, the Paddle Battle II will be held on the river. The Paddle Battle is a charity event held by the Bucks County Dragon Boat Club. There will be three Dragon Boat races between the Lambertville Police/Fire/EMS and the New Hope Police/Fire/EMS; the mayor of each town will be the captain for their boats.
Swan Creek has been asked to provide a race event between the Dragon Boat races so there is non-stop action on the water. The distance for the SCRC race will only be ~500 meters (Fred’s to the Playhouse). The finish line will be the Steamboat SPLASH with the spectators on the banks by the Playhouse.
We are looking to field boats for the two races; the current thinking is that one would be Youth & one Masters. The goal is to have our races sponsored by local businesses with the donation going to the DRRF. This should be a fun event and will be a way to show the public what we do!
