Congratulations Mackenzie King and Jack Darling for a superb effort and result at yesterdays Mainline Slide.

Mackenzie came an oh-so-close 2nd in the Junior Women category, less than .1 of a second behind first and gained back 8 of the 9 meters she lagged in the last 300 meters of the race. The race was so close, 1st and 2nd recorded the same time for a very long minute until verification came (final time of 7.23.2). You’re a fantastic racer Mackenzie, looking forward to your results at C.R.A.S.H. Bs and HP camp.

Jack Darling went into his race hoping for a PR and came out of it the winner of his heat (by 43 meters!!) and 3 seconds shaved off his PR. He ended up 8th in the Junior Men category overall with a time of 6.38.3 and winner of the lightweight category. He threw down negative splits for the second half of his race, pushing himself to his absolute limits.
