Boat Maintenance – Saturday, 9/7/2013, 9:00 am

This coming Saturday between 9:00 am and noon, we will be performing maintenance on the club boats. We have been granted access to a water supply by the Park Commission so we will be able to wash the boats inside and out. In addition to washing the boats, we will inspect each boat for need repairs or replacement parts (i.e. shoes, back stays).

Teams will be formed to move boats, wash, dry boats and perform any needed maintenance. No need to bring any materials!

We encourage all club members to join us next Saturday so we can prepare the boats for the fall season

Thank you for your help!

Yours in Rowing, Richard Park

Weekly Reminder – Boat Damage

I damaged one of the boats while rowing, what should I do?

  • Put a “Do Not Row” sign on the boat if the damage is severe.
  • Fill out an Incident Report, available on the website under Administrivia -> Incident Report Form, leave it in the desk, and send an email to the President.

Remember, we do not ask members to pay for damaged equipment, so please don’t be shy about reporting a problem. It’s important for the safety of your fellow rowers that the equipment be taken out of service and repaired.
