The Youth program got to clamber aboard the legendary SPLASH steamboat last weekend! Eric and his team took us through the history of our little patch of the Delaware including the history of the Shad, the improved ecology and water quality and Washington’s crossing, as well as the mechanics of the engine. Our gracious hosts asked the youth many questions too, they learned about the river from our perspective. Many masters crews joined us out on the water, it was great to see them against the rising fog and lingering history.
