PADDLE BATTLE – FRIDAY, JUNE 2

This event starts at 6 pm with the Dragon Boat race (Lambertville vs. New Hope). SCRC will have two races for the event (one Youth, one Masters). We may have a seat open for the Masters race if you want to participate.

The race course will now be on the Jersey side. The races for SCRC start around the 500 meter mark, and the finish line will be by the Swan Creek (near the Inn at Lambertville Station) so approximately 750 m. The Steamboat SPLASH will be the finish line, so it will be easy to know when to stop! The race lanes will be on the New Jersey side and so the reverse of our normal rowing pattern. The best viewing area will be at the Lambertville Station or the free bridge.

If this works well, we may use the same course for the SPLASH/Inter-Club Regatta the next day but end at the boat ramp.

The race will be broadcast on PANJRadio.com and commentary will be broadcast about the SCRC rowing and racing during the race. The event should be over by 7 pm, in time to enjoy the fireworks!

SPLASH REGATTA/LEARN TO ROW OPEN HOUSE – SATURDAY, JUNE 3

We will have our Inter-Club Regatta this Saturday, June 3 from 9 am to approximately noon. This is a fun event for all members of the Club. The event is open to all club members and we can set boats on Saturday. If you already have a set crew that would like to race, we can find you a competitor so please contact me at [email protected].

The Swan Creek Learn to Row Open House will also take place at the same date and time (this coincides with National LTR Day). We have invited those who have contacted the Club about learning to row to stop by on June 3rd to check out what we do at SCRC!
