NO Rowing Permitted for all members | Dangerous due to water level (+12') or temperature (below 45 deg) | Rowers classified as Novice (as defined in the SCRC safety procedures) are not permitted to row. Experienced Youth (as designated by the Head Coach) must be in a team boat & accompanied by a coach in a launch. |
Flag Meaning | Condition | Result |
Cold Water | Water less than 60 deg F | Rowers classified as Novice and Youth rowers should adhere to the "Four Oars Rules". If the combined water/ambient air temperature does not total 90 deg F or greater (with water temperature at least 45 deg F) a SCRC boat must use at least four oars to ensure a minimum of stability in the water. |
