The Shad Fest street fair is held in Lambertville this weekend, 4/26-27/2014. Lots of traffic, both car and pedestrian, along with street closings will make it difficult to get to the launch site on both Saturday and Sunday from about 11am to 6pm. Plan your rows accordingly.

Also note that there is increased shad netting taking place just off Lewis Island (right above the Free Bridge on the Jersey side) for public demonstration. Watch for a large rowboat and netting buoys within about 100 meters of the shore. Steer clear.
