Last summer, Central Bucks West HS graduate Amanda Wolfgang decided she wanted to gain rowing experience before trying out for the Temple University Rowing Team. After quickly learning some rowing basics from Tory Gordon, she rowed several times with the Rockin’ Rowers (novice women’s sweep team, coached by Holly Sleph) until heading off for college.

At the Dad Vail Regatta, Temple’s Women’s Frosh/Novice Heavyweight 8 ­with Amanda Wolfgang ­finished first in their event. Upon receiving our congratulations, Amanda graciously acknowledged her thanks to the Club and the Rockin’ Rowers for launching her rowing career and hopes to row with us this summer.
