Swan Creek Rowing Club will be holding a two-day Sculling Clinic presented by Stephen Wagner, the Head Crew Coach at Rutgers University!

Sculling Clinic Scheduled

For those looking to improve their rowing technique, we are happy to offer a two-day sculling clinic on August 26 & 27. The sessions will be coached by Stephen Wagner from Rutgers University.

The clinic is for all levels of ability. The ‘on the water’ portion will in in a 1x (single scull), however a 4x could be used if requested. The group size is estimated to be approximately ten individuals but if more would like to enroll, we will arrange for additional coaches.

Sessions Schedule

Each session will begin with a 15 minute demonstration followed by a 90 minute coaching session on the water.

Saturday, August 26, 2017
7:00 am – 9:00 am – The Grip and Feathering; General Overview of the Stroke
10:30 am – 12:00 noon – The Recovery and the Catch

Sunday, August 27, 2017
7:00 am – 9:00 am – The Drive
10:30 am – 12:00 noon – The Finish and Steering

Fees

The cost for the two day/four session clinic is $150, payable to Swan Creek Rowing Club. If you would like to participate, please  email or contact Bonnie Snider.
